How are the recipients chosen?
Once a veteran has been nominated, a member of our team will reach out to the nominee and the person who nominated them. We have a comprehensive vetting process which includes verification of service to ensure we are dedicating our resources to those most in need. While we wish we had the resources to complete brand new roof replacements for everyone who is nominated, we are still growing as an organization. As we continue to raise more funds, we will be able to complete more projects.
Do I qualify to enter in the Raise the Roof program?
While we believe all Veterans deserve a sturdy roof over their head, Operation Raise the Roof focuses on the most needing Veterans from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Wars, as well as the families of fallen service members through our partnership with American Gold Star Mothers, Inc.
Are there any costs that Operation Raise the Roof does not cover?

Operation Raise the Roof takes care of everything at no cost to you.
When will my gifted brand-new roof be installed? How long will it take for my new roof to be installed?
Thanks to Valor Home, Beacon Building Products and GAF, you can expect your gifted roof to be installed 3-5 business days before our Operation Raise the Roof Event.
Valor Home will be with you from start to finish. Your new roof replacement will take just under a day to complete.
For the Operation Raise the Roof Event, do I need to provide anything?

Can I invite family and friends to my Raise the Roof Event? How long do RTR events last?
Absolutely! You can invite up to 15 family members and friends! Good luck getting them to leave from under your brand new roof!
Operation Raise the Roof Events hours are from 11:00 - 1:00 and are held outside in front of your home.
